Masters of Wisdom are men like us who have gone ahead of us in evolution and have now perfected themselves by the very same steps we are taking today. They have learned the every lesson the earth has to teach them, have undergone every disappointment, humiliation, and pain, and are now members of the Spiritual Kingdom or the Kingdom of God or Heaven. Therefore the earth has no further to offer them and most of them have moved on to other higher planets within and outside our solar system.
They have many names, the Great White Brotherhood, the Society of Illumined Minds, the Elder Brothers of humanity, the Teachers, the Guides, the Mahatmas, the Masters of Wisdom and Lords of Compassion. As a group they are known as the Spiritual Hierarchy. Ordinary people refer to them, as Angels and they are the Angels mentioned in Christianity.
Some of them have remained on earth for millennia living occultly in the mountainous and desert regions of earth beneficently overseeing the evolution of their fellow men and women. Some of them are quite well known names in every field of human endeavour both religious and secular such as science, philosophy, literature, art, music, economics, and politics.
Those who are in incarnation, some of them were born to the world in the normal way while others live in their self created bodies of illusion (mayavirupa). They do not suffer from diseases as we do, do not grow old as fast as we do and some of them are thousands of years old. They do not even have to eat, drink or sleep and can appear and disappear at will. They are omniscient and omnipresent and are able to see the past, present and future as one in the eternal now.
All the Masters belong to one of the 7 major ashrams (groups) depending on their soul ray. Master Morya (St Peter) is a Master in the first ray ashram. Master Koot Humi (St John the Beloved) and Master Djwhal Khul (writer of Alice Bailey teachings) are in the 2nd ray ashram. English master is in the third ray ashram. Master Serapis, Mozart and Beethovan are Masters in the 4th ray ashram. Master Hilarian (St Paul) is a Master in the 5th ray ashram. Master Jesus and the Master who was Madonna are in the 6th ray ashram. Master Rakoczi is a Master in the 7th ray Ashram. He was known as the Comte de St Germain and, before that, in England, He was known as Roger Bacon and later again as Francis Bacon.
At present all the Masters live in male bodies and therefore there are no female Masters. According to Mr Creme the reason for this is that at the moment there is an excess of female energy on earth, and therefore to balance this all the Masters when they take incarnation on earth they take male bodies. Male and female energies are likely to come into equilibrium in about 270 years from now and this will allow the Masters to take female bodies. The first female Master will incarnate around that time and She will be Madonna the mother of Jesus.
The head and leader of this group is a man by the name of Maitreya. He is so advanced that he embodies in his own body one aspect of the deity or God; the energy referred to as Love or Christ Consciousness. This entitles him to the title Christ. St. Paul referred to him as "the teacher alike of angels and men".
According to esoteric tradition Masters used to live openly on earth about 80,000 years ago during the time of Atlantean civilisation. At that time there was a war between the forces of evil and the forces of light represented by the Masters of Wisdom and their disciples. Neither side was strong enough to win the war and there was a stalemate. Then the heavenly man (God) who ensouls our planet decided to sink the continent of Atlantis to bring the war to an end. After the sinking of the continent of Atlantis Masters retreated to the desert and mountainous regions of earth. It is said by Mr Benjamin Creme that they are now one by one returning to the everyday world and eventually about 40 of them will be living openly in the world, advising and teaching humanity.
Sixty-three of them are involved with human evolution while others are involved with the evolution of animal, plant and mineral kingdoms. According to Mr Creme fourteen of them have already returned to the everyday world and are currently living in major cities of the world. They will show humanity that every human being can one day be like them.

Men will answer the Call

Since the dawn of time, man has asked himself the question: why am I here, what is the meaning of life? Despite the teachings of the various religions and those of holy men of the past, most people are baffled and unsure whether there is, indeed, any purpose or meaning in what we call ‘life’, and wonder likewise what experience, if any, awaits us after ‘death’.
In this coming time, the answers to these long-held worries and fears will become the common knowledge of all. This will in large measure be the result of the open presence of Maitreya and His Group of Masters. Your Elder Brothers will so stimulate the consciousness of men and so exemplify the teaching They give that in a relatively short period an enormous awakening will take place. Gone, for millions, will be the doubt and fear of the past. Men will know for sure, that they are, each one, engaged in a great adventure of discovery which will take them, in due course, to a perfection hitherto undreamed of. Such sense of meaning and purpose will replace the present arid and fearful doubt that an era of untold creativity and change will blossom and flourish. Thus will it be, and thus will men awaken to their destiny as exemplars of the divine. All men are divine but not all know this to be true. More and more, men will realize this truth and so change the world around them.
The Masters are readying Themselves for open recognition and work. Their presence will provide the confidence that the needed changes in our social life will be for the better and have long been necessary. The aim is that the Masters and men should work together in every field of endeavour, and thus expedite the changes required.
The first priority is that war must be abandoned for ever, utterly, totally. This requires a degree of trust as yet not known in the world. Sharing alone, it will be found, will manifest the needed trust and so create justice worldwide. Until justice reigns, there will never be true peace. Step by step, men will come to see this logic. They will come to understand that there is no alternative. If men would live and prosper they must abandon injustice and war. Can men meet the challenge? Men have faced and overcome many vicissitudes in their long sojourn on Earth. Today, led by Maitreya and His Group, they will be inspired to act for their own best interest and to answer the call for justice and sharing.
Many are the voices of the past which will call for caution and delay, but when men hear Maitreya’s voice sound within their hearts, they will be kindled by a fiery longing for Justice and Peace, for Sharing and Right Relationship, for Brotherhood and Love.
Thus will it be.

Who is Maitreya?
He has been expected for generations by all of the major religions. Christians know him as the Christ, and expect his imminent return. Jews await him as the Messiah; Hindus look for the coming of Krishna; Buddhists expect him as Maitreya Buddha; and Muslims anticipate the Imam Mahdi or Messiah. Although the names are different, many believe that they all refer to the same individual: the World Teacher, whose personal name is Maitreya (pronounced my-tray-ah).
Preferring to be known simply as the Teacher, Maitreya has not come as a religious leader, or to found a new religion, but as a teacher and guide for people of every religion and those of no religion.
At this time of great political, economic and social crisis Maitreya will inspire humanity to see itself as one family, and create a civilization based on sharing, economic and social justice, and global cooperation.
He will launch a call to action to save the millions of people who starve to death every year in a world of plenty. Among Maitreya's recommendations will be a shift in social priorities so that adequate food, housing, clothing, education, and medical care become universal rights.
Under Maitreya's inspiration, humanity itself will make the required changes and create a saner and more just world for all.

The Good News of Jesus
in the Words of Sathya Sai Baba
The content of this book is taken entirely from the discourses of Sathya Sai Baba. Thematically compiled, there are five main sections: The coming of Jesus, the teachings of Jesus, the Sacrifice of Jesus, the Oneness and Omnipresence of God and Merging with Jesus. The main section on the teachings of Jesus is centred on the Beatitudes, which were given by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. This book is a ground-breaking masterpiece, which shows the seamless teachings of the divine in both the lives of Jesus and Sathya Sai Baba.
Sathya Sai Baba has described the time of the birth of Jesus. He has said, it was "thick with ignorance". When the darkness of ignorance overwhelms the world, the practice of righteousness declines, and devotion to the Lord is scoffed at and ridiculed, the Lord takes human form, for the welfare of mankind.
Both Sathya Sai Baba and Jesus are karana-janmas, births taken up for the welfare of the world, not because of any previous karma that needed to be exhausted. Swami has told that Jesus was one such Master, born for a purpose, the mission of restoring love, charity and compassion in the hearts of mankind. Swami has said that Karana-janmas belong to the whole human race. They should not be confined to a single country or community.
On the life and teachings of these great masters, Sathya Sai Baba has told: "Far more beneficial than honouring the great is the practice of loving them. Praise, glorification and eulogy raise them on to an unreachable pedestal. Love binds one heart to another. Gratitude for the inspiration and instruction received by them must bind the hearts of mankind in love."
There are many parallels in the lives of Sathya Sai Baba and Jesus. Both Jesus and Sai Baba revealed the Divine Light, the param-jyothi.
Sai Baba revealed the Param Jyothi to devotees on the banks of the Chitravathi. Many people report different experiences. Some also say that this happened on more than one occasion. What is common is that Swami told devotees that he would show the eye of Shiva. Others tell that Swami told he would show the param-jyothi. Swami ran on ahead, to the top of a hill. He called out to the devotees, and then a brilliant light was seen. All fell down at the brilliant light, totally overcome with the divine splendour.
In the liturgical calendar, the church celebrates an event called the Transfiguration of Jesus. This event occurred at a place called Mount Tabor, in Palestine.
The Gospels tell that Jesus led three of his apostles - Peter, John the Apostle, and James the Great - to pray at the top of a mountain. Once at the top, Jesus became transfigured, his face shining like the sun, and his clothes a brilliant white. They say that Elijah and Moses suddenly appeared with Jesus and talked with him. Once they had spoken with each other, the Gospels state that a bright cloud overshadowed them (Luke also says they entered into the cloud), and a voice from the cloud proclaimed, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

An example of the seamless unity of the teachings of Jesus and Sai Baba can be found in the story of Jesus lost in the Temple for three days:
One year, Jesus and his parents, Joseph and Mary, happened to go to a Jewish festival in Jerusalem. In the jostling crowds Jesus got separated from his parents. Not finding him anywhere, Mary sat under a tree and prayed to God to come to her help. At that moment, a thought flashed in her mind that Jesus was perhaps in a nearby temple.
They went there and found Jesus sitting in a comer of the temple listening to the words of the high priest. That scene reminded her of the prophetic words of one of the Arabian kings who visited Jesus at the time of his birth, who said that he would love God. Mary affectionately rushed towards him and embraced him.
When Mary told Jesus about the anxiety that they felt when they missed him, Jesus replied: "Mother! Why should you have any fear? Those who believe in the world will have fears. But why should anyone believing in God fear at all? I am in the company of my Father. You taught me that God is everything for us. How, then, can you worry like this? This is the temple of God; it is my Father's mansion. Nothing will be lacking here. In this eternal and sacred home, I am perfectly safe and protected."
This shows that even by his twelfth year, Jesus was full of Divine qualities and was imparting the Divine message to those around him. He had learnt his lessons from his mother and developed his spiritual faith. In these words Jesus revealed that he regarded himself as the Son of God.
Part Two encompasses the Teachings of Jesus and is centred around the Beatitudes, the central teaching of Jesus, sometimes called the Sermon on the Mount.
Jesus's Message was Universal and for all of Humanity
*Blessed are the Humble, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven
*Blessed are those who Mourn, for they Shall be Comforted
*Blessed are the Meek, for they shall Inherit the Earth
*Blessed are the Righteous, for they shall be Fulfilled

*Blessed are the Pure of Heart, for they shall see God
*Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they are Children of God
*Blessed are the Persecuted for the sake of Righteousness
For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven
*Blessed are the slandered for the sake of God, for Great is
their reward in Heaven
*Love is the Basis of Jesus' Teachings

Few books consider the lives and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba and Jesus. Peter Phipps of New Zealand has authored two titles: Sathya Sai Baba and Jesus Christ. A Gospel for the Golden Age, 1994, and Greater than You Know. Sathya Sai Baba, Jesus Christ and Christianity, 1997 There is the highly acclaimed An Eastern View of Jesus Christ and the excellent study guide prepared by Dr Pal Dhall for the Sai Vision Program of many years ago Sai Vision Program, Volume III, Christmas Discourses 1972 - 1994. Until now, there has been a shortfall of books embracing the life and teachings of Jesus vis-�-vis the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This book remedies that situation.
Many devotees sometimes wonder, 'What do we have to offer the Christians who ask us questions about the teachings of Sai Baba and Jesus'? Swami tells us to study the lives of the founders of the different faiths and grasp their message and teachings. Know the teachings you profess to follow; know the teachings in this book and be prepared to give an account of both the teachings of Sai and how they may be read as one with the teachings of Jesus. As this book illustrates, there really is no difference.
Sathya Sai Baba tells,
"Try to be like Jesus. Jesus was a person whose only joy was in spreading Divine love, offering Divine love, receiving Divine love and living on Divine love. Spiral light over Norway – the ‘star’ that heralds Maitreya’s emergence
An enormous, spiral light with its glowing centre, seen over Norway on 9 December 2009, has excited and baffled thousands of Norwegians including astronomical experts. What does it mean?
On 12 December 2008 Share International Foundation announced that a large, bright ‘star’-like object would soon be seen in the sky. It is a sign heralding the imminent appearance of Maitreya, the World Teacher, on His first television interview, which will take place in the USA.
The ‘star’ is really one of four enormous spacecraft placed around the world. Since December 2008 numerous sightings of the ‘star’ have been reported on YouTube and television news programmes. Share International magazine has received hundreds of photographs showing the ‘star’ in a variety of stunning colours and shapes.
The huge spiral manifestation over Norway is an extension of the work of these spacecraft and is irrefutable evidence of their reality. Our information is that further such manifestations are planned for the near future.
Share International has produced a 10 minute film called The ‘Star’ Sign, which is now available on YouTube website, presenting the extraordinary phenomenon of the ‘star’ heralding Maitreya’s emergence. Since Benjamin Creme’s first announcement in December 2008, Share International has received hundreds of photographs of the ‘star’ from all over the world, and witnesses have independently posted on YouTube dozens of videos of the ‘star’ from different countries with much debate as to its meaning and purpose.

"Live, love, learn..."
1. Do not interfere in others' business unless asked.
Most of us create our own problems by interfering too often in others' affairs. We do so because somehow we have convinced ourselves that our way is the best way, our logic is the perfect logic, and those who do not conform to our thinking must be criticized and steered to the right direction, our direction.
This kind of attitude on our part denies the existence of individuality and consequently the existence of God, for God has created each one of us in a unique way. No two human beings can think or act in exactly the same way. All men or women act the way they do because they are prompted to do so by the Divine within them. There is God to look after everything. Why are you bothered? Mind your own business and you will have your peace.
2. Forget and forgive
This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind. We often nurture ill feeling inside our heart for the person who insults or harms us. We foster grievances, which in turn results in loss of sleep, develops of stomach ulcer, high blood pressure and many other ailments that stealthily gnaws us from within.
We forget that the insult or injury was done to us once but by nourishing the grievance we go on excavating the wound forever. Therefore it is essential that we cultivate the art of forgiving and forgetting. Believe in the justice of God and the doctrine of Karma. Let Him judge the act of the one who insulted you. Life is too short to waste in such trifles.
Forget, forgive, and march on.
3. Do not crave for recognition
This world is full of selfish people. They seldom praise anybody without selfish motive. They may praise you today because you are rich and have power but no sooner you are powerless, they will forget your achievement and start criticizing you. Moreover, each person is a mortal with a bundle of defects in them. No one individual is picture perfect. Then why do you value the words of praise of another mortal like you? Why do you crave for such false recognition and lose your peace of mind if the world does not praise you? Believe in yourself. People's praises do not last long and are not worth it. Do your duties ethically and sincerely and leave the rest to God.
4. Do not be jealous
We all have experienced how jealousy can disturb our peace of mind. You know you work harder than your colleagues in the office do, but they get promotions, you do not. You started a business several years ago but youare not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only one year old. There are several examples like these in every walk of life. Should you be jealous? No, remember everybody's life is shaped by his previous Karma that has now become his destiny. If you are destined to be rich, not all the world can stop you. If you are not so destined, no one can help you
either. Nothing will be gained by blaming others for your misfortune. Jealousy will not get you anywhere, but will only give you restlessness.
5. Change yourself according to the environment
If you try to change the environment single handedly, the chances are you may fail. Instead, change yourself to suit the environment. As you do this, even the environment, which has remained unfriendly for you, will mysteriously appear to be congenial and harmonious.
6. Endure what cannot be cured
This is the best way to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. Every day we face numerous inconveniences, ailments, irritations and accidents that are beyond our control. We must learn to put up with these things. We must learn to endure them cheerfully thinking, "God will it so, so be it". God's logic is beyond our comprehension. Believe it and you will gain in patience, in inner strength, in will power.
7. Do not bite more than you can chew
This maxim should be always remembered. We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable to carry out. This is done to satisfy our ego. Know your limitations. Why take on additional loads that may create more worries? You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities. If you have extra time, then spend it in an inwardlife of prayer, introspection and meditation. This will reduce those thoughts in your mind, which make you restless. Fewer the thoughts, greater is the peace of mind.
8. Meditate regularly
Meditation makes the mind thoughtless. This is the highest state of peace of mind. Try and experience it. If you meditate earnestly for half an hour every day, you will tend to become calm during the remaining twenty-three and a half hours. Your mind will not be disturbed as much as before. You must gradually increase the period of daily meditation. You may think this will interfere with your daily work. On the contrary, this will increase your efficiency and you will turn out more work in less time.
9. Never leave the mind vacant
Empty mind is the devil's workshop. All evil deeds start in the mind. Keep your mind occupied in something positive, something worthwhile. Actively follow a hobby. Do something that holds your interest. You mustdecide what you value more - money or peace of mind. Your hobby, like social work or temple work may not always earn you more money, but you will have a sense of fulfillment and achievement. Even if you are resting physically, occupy yourself in healthy reading or mental chanting of God's name.
10. Do not procrastinate and never regret
Do not waste time in wondering "should I or shouldn't I?" Days, weeks, months and years may be wasted in that futile mental debating. You can never plan enough because you can never anticipate all future happenings. Always remember God has His own plan too. Value your time and do things. It does not matter if you fail the first time. You can rectify your mistakes and succeed the next time. Sitting back and worrying will lead to nothing. Learn from your mistakes but do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET! Whatever happened was destined to happen only that way. Take it as the will of God. You do not have the power to alter the course of God's will. Why cry over the spilt milk?

Men’s lives will flourish

When men more fully realize the extent of the damage done to their lives by the economic and financial collapse of recent years, they will find it impossible to revert, as many hope will be the case, to the old system. That economy was shattered by greed, selfishness and separation, but essentially by the action of the energies of the new time. Already, more than men are aware, the energies of Aquarius work their magic on Earth. Increasingly people are being drawn together in consciousness; the energies of synthesis are performing their beneficent work. Already, many are responding in a new way, as if relieved of a deadening weight, looking forward to a world simplified but more united.
When We see this, We too are gratified and strengthened in Our belief in the qualities of man. Our hope for the future is renewed as We see men search and respond to the new. The ‘star’ has not been alone in changing the atmosphere of Earth from despair to hope, but is proving a potent factor in this transformation. More and more the Aquarian energies will create in men the desire for unity and oneness, and even now are sowing the seeds of future transformation.
Maitreya, meanwhile, waits patiently for the day on which His face may be seen by men. That day is not far off. Already arrangements are being made for His initial interview, the first of many such. Do not be surprised if reactions to His statements are quiet or subdued. Have no doubt that in future appearances Maitreya will speak loudly and boldly for the suffering poor of the world, for an ending of war, for a world in which justice and sharing enfold men in their beneficent grace. Much, very much, is expected of Maitreya, but few can realize the vast extent of His generosity of spirit. People will come to know and love Him as a friend and as a teacher, and will willingly respond to His words. Maitreya will evoke from men their own hearts’ love for justice, sharing and peace, perennial jewels in the hearts of all men.
Now comes the time of a further flowering of these divine attributes as men reconsider the faults and inadequacies of the past. Under the guidance of Maitreya and His Group, men’s lives will flourish as never before; raising men from their past state of ignorance and fear into the expression of a divinity until now almost unknown.

The new age and the appearance of the World Teacher
* Many are aware that a new spiritual age is dawning, hence the growth of 'new age' groups throughout the world. ...This is not a 'new age' fantasy, nor simply an astrological prognostication, but a scientific, astronomical fact: the result of the precession of the equinoxes or, in layman's terms, of the movement of our solar system round the heavens in relation to the twelve constellations of the zodiac. ...The energies of each age are different, and inspire us to create quite different civilizations.
* Cyclic law calls forth a teacher who comes into the world at the beginning or end of every age.
* Two thousand years ago Maitreya manifested himself through his disciple Jesus in Palestine by the process of overshadowing, and the Christian era began. He returns now as World Teacher for all groups ― religious and non-religious alike.
* On the 19th of July, 1977, he entered London, England, where he still lives as an apparently ordinary member of the Asian community. There he awaits an invitation from humanity to come forward as the World Teacher.
Changes in the world and their causes
* He has come to teach humanity the need for sharing. Sharing, he says, is divine. When you share you recognize God in your brother.
* Market forces are based on greed; Maitreya calls them the forces of evil.
Day of Declaration
* Before long, an international press conference will be held at which Maitreya will present his credentials. This will lead to the Day of Declaration, when he will appear on the radio and television networks of the world linked by satellite. On that day Maitreya will mentally overshadow the whole of humanity simultaneously. All will hear his words inwardly in their own language. This telepathic communication will reach everyone, not only those watching or listening, and hundreds of thousands of miraculous healings will take place throughout the world. On that day, there will be no doubt that Maitreya is the Christ and World Teacher. His open world-wide mission will have begun.
The teachings and work of the Christ
* The reappearance of the Christ today is the reappearance also, into outer manifestation, of the Spiritual Hierarchy of which he is the Head. ...These ancient Mysteries will be revealed, the fact of the soul will be proved, and man's essential immortality will be known.
* Contrary to the average Christian's belief that the Christ comes exclusively for them, he comes as the World Teacher, for all humanity. With the help of his Brother, the Buddha, he will unite East and West, and in particular the different approaches to God of the East and of the West. ...He will synthesize these two approaches in the new world religion. ...He will be in truth the World Teacher, come to inaugurate the new age of synthesis and brotherhood, based on the establishment of right human relations.
Signs
* A vision of Mary is like a talisman, and so is, for example, the Turin Shroud, which was left for the support of the faithful. It helps to maintain their faith in God and a true connection between God and man; it fulfills their yearning for a sign from God. And people do see not only visions of Mary, but many other things ― weeping statues, weeping paintings. ...There are many such manifestations. They are real.
UFOs
* There are no hostile UFOs. The various tales of allegedly hostile UFOs notwithstanding, the UFO manifestation is the result of interplanetary co-operation and is totally peaceful and beneficent in intention. ...It is never their intention to scare people.
* The UFO is normally invisible...They are made visible to our sight by lowering the vibrational rate of these atoms and are rendered invisible again by returning to their normal frequency.
Spirituality and life in the new age
* "The word 'spiritual' does not refer to religious matters so- called. All activity which drives the human being forward towards some form of development ― physical, emotional, mental, intuitional, social ― if it is in advance of his present state is essentially spiritual in nature." In this statement from Education in the New Age by Alice A. Bailey, the Master D.K., I believe, focuses the shift in emphasis which must be made in our relationship to the world...
* Politics, economics, science, culture and education will soon be fundamental spiritual endeavours of humanity, embodying every aspect of the spiritual life. The religious groups, the so-called 'spiritual' and 'new age' groups, do not have a monopoly on spirituality.
Aims and possibilities
* Man will lose his fear of death.
* We will come to understand that our thoughts and actions from moment to moment set in motion causes whose effects make our lives what they are, for good or ill. So we will see the need for harmlessness in relation to others...
Environment and education
* Using a simple isotope from water, available everywhere, the fusion process of the future will give us unlimited energy for all our needs, safely.
* People will have infinitely more leisure and can avail themselves of the possibilities for exploring the wealth of culture and knowledge which we have available now.
* Quite apart from that, the focus of education in the future will be towards the fulfillment of soul intention and purpose. ...The child will be seen as a soul in incarnation with certain purposes. Education will be the means to enable these purposes to be carried out.
Health and healing
* I believe all people have the potential to transmit healing energies from some source or other, usually their solar plexus or their own soul. Meditation and service are the key methods of strengthening and fulfilling that potential.
* Everybody is a 'born' healer, but not everyone is drawn to heal. People are drawn to other things, to write, to talk, to inspire, to guide, to educate, whatever.
Expansion of consciousness
* The wilderness experience, particularly for the West, is the acceptance of a simpler way of life, so that all people everywhere can live. In fact, one of the Christ's main tasks is to release humanity from the glamour of materialism.
* The potent, self-serving, highly integrated individual has to give way, eventually, to the world server. ...The key to this change in consciousness is love, and through love, service.
